WebCW&T used a high copper makeup for the brass so it has awesome anti-microbial properties to it. This is a 50/50 here, people either love or hate this but this pen was built around the Pilot Hi-tec-c cartridge. My cartridge has been fine with no hard starts but I do get a bit of tooth depending on the paper I'm writing on.
