WebI kind of think that having cowboyish scene is just part of a bank heist films. Don't get me wrong I love Heat, but I love Heat because of the action certain parts of the film really drag and while I think that film needed to be almost 4 hours to tell its tale, I feel like The Town was able to tell a similar tale in a more streamlined fashion.
